The cherry blossoms, pink with love,
bloom slowly in the early spring,
fall in the lightest breeze,
twirl in the soft sunlight.
And the shade of my cherry blossom tree suddenly is not as cool as it used to be.
The blossoms’ fragrance, sickly sweet on
hot summer air,
fills my lungs and clouds my eyes.
I close them tight to the summer light.
I open them again, awakened by the coolness of brisk new fall, and by the
